Goose Creek Wrap-Up: A Great Start to Fall!

McDonald Equine had a fantastic weekend at Goose Creek, bringing 8 horses to close out the summer show season. As many of our riders head back to school, we're so proud of the hard work and success they showed — and we’re already looking forward to House Mountain in just a few weeks!

Show Highlights:

Good Thing I’m Best & Kayleigh Burke ended their season on a high note, earning Champion in the Green Hunters. This talented 5-year-old is off to Maine now after a standout year!

Gaylord Captain & Kayleigh Burke took Reserve Champion in the Green Hunters, adding another strong performance to their record.

Gaylord Captain & Jennifer Hendrix also had a great ride, placing 2nd in the Low Hunter flat out of a competitive class of 11.

Envy owned by Kayleigh Burke and ridden by Alexis Hinds were Reserve Champion in both the Special Children’s Hunters and Intermediate Equitation — a double success!

Good Thing I’m Best & Caroline Leeth were just one point away from Reserve Champion in the Special Adult Hunters!

Chicago Man & Katherine Hall had a standout show, earning Champion in Long Stirrup Equitation and Reserve Champion in Long Stirrup Hunters.

Centenario (“Rio”) & Alexis Agapiou made their show debut in Long Stirrup Equitation. Rio handled his first show and overnight experience like a seasoned pro — we’re excited for what’s to come from this pair!

Back to the Future & Anna Lucy had strong rounds in the Hopeful Hunters, placing 5th and 5th over fences and 1st on the flat — great consistency!

Legally Blonde shined with a 1st place finish in the 3’3” Working Hunters, capping off the weekend with style.

Congratulations to all our riders, horses, and families for a successful weekend. Bring on the fall season — we’ll see you at House Mountain!
