4-H Finals

Last weekend, two of our talented McDonald Equine riders competed at the 4H State Finals—and they were absolutely incredible! We couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come this year, both in and out of the ring.

Alexis Hinds and Envy, owned by Kayleigh Burke, had an outstanding show earning Reserve Champion in the 2’6” Over Fences division with strong placings of 1st, 2nd, and 4th. Alexis also took 1st in the Equitation Over Fences.

Katherine Hall and her horse Chicago Man navigated huge classes of 25+ riders in every division and came out with fantastic results! In the 2’ division, they placed 2nd, 2nd, and 9th—and followed that up with 3rd, 4th, and 5th in Horse Pleasure classes. They also earned 8th in the Pleasure Classic!

Alexis was also busy with her pony Fergalicious, taking home 1st in Equitation on the Flat, 3rd in the Trail Competition, and 7th in the Equitation Classic.

Watching these two young riders grow this season has been an absolute joy. Their dedication, sportsmanship, and progress have been nothing short of inspiring.

Next stop: SWVHJA Annual—and they’re more motivated than ever to show how far they’ve come. We can’t wait to cheer them on!
